Greetings my fellow neighbours and Green supporters. For the past several elections you have given Lori Gadzala unprecedented support and made Nepean-Carleton a strong riding for the Green Party. I promise to work hard and live up the calibre you have come to expect from Lori and the Green Party of Canada.
The biggest help you can give before the next election is telling us of community issues and events we can attend. The more people who get to know me, the more who realize the Green political movement is about making responsible decisions and making government work for the citizens.
So, let’s get out into the community and show everyone the good neighbours we are and encourage all those sitting on the green fence to join us.
Once again, I thank you for your support. Let's all keep working for clean air, clean water, and clean politics.
Greetings all,
Elections
Hope you had a great weekend,
I've gotten many great emails,
facebook's and phone calls from you and others expressing how me going
for this is "so the right thing" for me and expressed interest in
attending the nomination meeting. Thank you one and all.

Congratulations Lori on getting 7,880 votes ( Elections Canada Link)). I'm sure she will write something herself thanking everyone who voted and volunteered for her, but on behalf of the Nepean Carleton Green Party Association, I would like to thank her for running such an impressive campaign. Lori received 11% of the popular vote surpassing Phil Brown to come in third to Pierre Poilievre and Ed Mahfouz.
Somebody called up and was looking for this today! So if you really want to listen to all Nepean-Carleton candidates being grilled in front of the editorial board, make yourself comfortable. It's an hour long and it's available from this page: http://www.canada.com/ottawacitizen/features/editorialboard/index.html
I was asked questions on infrastructure, crime, the carbon tax, and the qualities that "set me apart" from the other candidates. You can read it here: http://www.barrhavenindependent.on.ca/page3.pdf
I received an automated "poll" twice tonight from Pierre Poilievre's campaign. Wow what are the odds that I would get randomly picked twice for the same poll?
Well better than you would think, it was really a "push poll", a dishonest form of campaigning where the purpose of the "poll" is to spread a message to the person being polled. In this case it was about taxes, and the recording even used the term "Dion tax". That's a dead give-away that it isn't a real poll and is instead trying to con you into listening to a conservative party talking point.
Media Release October 9, 2008
On Tuesday, Canada needs to elect Green Party MPs, leader Elizabeth May said today.
“Media reports and suggestions from other parties that I am urging strategic voting across the country or that backroom deals are being made are complete nonsense,” Ms. May said. “As I have said over and over, strategic voting is generally not a sound strategy at all and I do not support it. Canada needs to elect Green MPs. “
The Ottawa Citizen editorial board has endorsed Lori Gadzala as the best candidate to serve Nepean-Carleton. From the Ottawa Citizen, October 8:
Lori Gadzala is the strongest Green candidate in Ottawa. Indeed, she's one of the strongest local candidates from any party.
She's raised the level of the debate in this campaign, with her down-to-earth humour and serious passion about the issues, whether it's wastewater in Manotick or the global economy. Ms. Gadzala, a business woman, comes from the practical, fiscally responsible side of the Green party. She deserves to represent Nepean-Carleton. Read more here....
