Greetings,
The summer is here and no election - that was too close.
The kind of ultra-partisan politics being played on The Hill is turning away young voters, further polarizing party faithfuls, and frustrating the rest of us. Let's not follow their example and continue acting like this country deserves more.
This summer I have organized several information sessions
to get the word out about government rebates for home renovations. Did
you know you could get up to $12,000 to improve the efficiency of your
home? Here is a PDF you can print out & post at your work or simple email around to people you know considering doing work on their home.
Earlier, I had the pleasure of having lunch with Elizabeth May and
other Green candidates from the area at Hy's Steakhouse in downtown
Ottawa (famous Conservative Party hangout). The media were there to
hear how the Greens were preparing for the next election. To find out
more, visit our website www.NepeanCarletonGreens.ca. For those who RSS, Tweet, and Facebook - you can track my Green Party activities over the summer and coming election.
Want to know about other events around the riding? Check out the website Calendar and Interactive Map.
As always, please tell me of issues and events in your community where I can introduce myself and get to know you.
Cheers,
Jean-Luc Cooke <jean-luc.cooke@greenparty.ca>
