Greetings,
If you were listening to CFRA July 14 from 11:30 to 12:00 you would
have heard me talking with Lowell Green about North Gower's wind power
project and other
issues. He actually said I sounded very "reasonable". A
small gesture of how I want to go places Greens are not often seen and
demonstrate level headed green thinking. I've tried to get a recording
of
the event but they didn't want to give me anything that would be shared
online. If someone reading this wants to hear, they'll have to ask CFRA directly.
Sorry.
Next week will be the first
set of rebate presentations I've organized with DT Home Energy Advisers.
Locations near you:
First however I'll be in Burritts Rapids on Sunday, July 26th for a breakfast with Green supporters and
members of that lovely community. Here's a secret: I'm working with the
Greens from neighbouring ridings to get Green Party
Deputy-Leader Adrianne Carr of Vancouver to visit Burritts Rapids which lies on the border of Nepean-Carleton!
More in the next newsletter.
The village of Manotick
is celebrating its 150th birthday! Come by Watson's Mill Friday night
(July 31st) and take in the show and join me for refreshments - we can discuss
what's going on in your community, and how I can
help.
The next morning in Manotick, there will be a pancake breakfast at Dickinson Square starting at 7am - who resist a pancake
breakfast? I'll be getting to know fellow pancake lovers and introducing
myself.
Saturday, August 1st I'm working the Green Party
booth downtown at Confederation Park for the Project EcoSphere fair - part of
the Rideau Canal Festival. At 1:30pm I'll be joined by other candidates
from the Ottawa Area to discuss how Green Politics is managing in this economy
and political climate.
There are more events in August where you'll be able to find me.
I'll tell you more about them in the next newsletter.
Have a great summer.
