1. Wine and Cheese with the Green Candidate

Are
you looking for a way to beat the winter blahs? We have the perfect answer—the Green
Party of Nepean-Carleton Electoral District Association (EDA) Annual General Meeting and Wine and Cheese                                   

Date:               Tuesday, February 9th,

Time:              7:00-8:30 pm

Place:             Manotick Legion Hall, 5550 Ann Street, Manotick

Come
meet our nominated candidate, Jean-Luc Cooke, and find out what the Green Party
has planned for a potential spring election. A special guest, Catherine Johannson, National Political
Campaign Director, Green Party of
Canada,
will be on hand to explain the campaign to elect
Elizabeth
May and how the Green Party is more relevant than ever. 

This
is a complimentary event and your guests are welcome. However, we will be
electing a new executive, and only members of the Green Party residing in Nepean-Carleton
are allowed to vote in AGM matters. To join, or to renew your membership, costs
$10 at www.greenparty.ca .

evening is a fantastic opportunity to meet and mingle with the new executive
and key behind-the-scenes strategists, and find out about Green programs in and

2. Green Party of Canada releases 2010 edition of Vision Green

On Monday February 25th in
Charles-Lynch Press Gallery located in Centre Block of Parliament Hill
the Green Party released their new platform. (http://greenparty.ca/issues).  Highlights include:
- Income splitting to encourage more family time
- Restorative justice not just longer jail times and bigger jails
- Policies on bailouts

3. Jean-Luc joins other concerned citizens on Parliament Hill to protest the 2009 prorogation

A chilly February 23rd, thousands of
concerned citizens as part of a grassroots movement to ask for the
Prime Minister to call Parliament back to work.  Jean-Luc was in
